Pre and Post Surgical Rehabilitation

When conservative treatments are unsuccessful or not applicable, surgery may be necessary.  In these cases, I can optimize your outcome by beginning a PreHab phase of treatment. This will assure the best post rehabilitative scenario.  By implementing range of motion and conditioning exercises prior to surgery,  you will be in the best condition when you begin your post surgery physical therapy. I have had extensive experience working with both local and city surgeons and they and their patients have been very satisfied with their post operative results. I am aware of special protocols which surgeons recommend and follow them where indicated to maximize your return to function.

Some of the  pre- and post-operative conditions I treat include:

  • Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction
  • Achilles tendon repair
  • Knee or Hip Arthroscopy
  • Knee replacement
  • Hip replacement
  • Shoulder replacement
  • Spine surgeries for herniated discs, pinched nerves, stenosis
  • Rotator Cuff repair
  • Acrominal Decompression and Distal Clavical Resection
  • Labral Repairs
